Gilberth Aguilar Gutiérrez

A lawyer who has been a member of the Costa Rican Bar Association since 1986, he began his career in 1986 as a lawyer in the Legal Department of the Comptroller General’s Office, providing advice on labor law, administrative law, and administrative procedure instruction.

In 2001, he joined Banco de Costa Rica as the Manager of the Labor Legal Area, responsible for legal advice on labor and administrative matters for BCR and its subsidiaries. He managed labor and administrative litigation, developed labor policies and regulations, collective bargaining agreements, performance evaluation systems, salary scales, and compensation systems. He also led restructuring and reorganization efforts, and conducted administrative procedures. Additionally, he provided training in labor and administrative law and administrative procedures through lectures, courses, and seminars. In 2018, he served as Corporate Legal Manager of Banco de Costa Rica, providing high-level legal advice in different legal fields to the bank’s board of directors and general management, as well as to the boards of its subsidiaries.

In August 2018, he began private practice in both the public and private sectors, leveraging his extensive experience in the field. He has now joined NCC Parajeles as an independent consultant, providing advice on labor, administrative, and litigation matters to clients.
